Men's Club Lacrosse

The Rutgers University Men's Club Lacrosse team is made up of players with different skill levels and various lacrosse talents. Each year, the club strives to achieve our goal of winning the NCLL National Championship.

The Rutgers Men's Lacrosse Club finished the 2012 Spring season with a record of 18-2. Rutgers went 4-0 in division games, capturing its second consecutive Liberty League Title. At the 2012 Beltway Bash Tournament in College Park, MD, (3/30-31) Rutgers went undefeated in pool play, and eventually went on to defeat #5 James Madison in the Championship Game. Rutgers went 6-0 on the weekend and were crowned Champions of the Beltway Bash for the first time in club history. Between February 26th and April 11th, the Scarlet Knights put together their longest winning streak in club history, wining 16 consecutive games.  On April 15th vs. West Chester, sophomore Jamie Scott broke the Rutgers Club Lacrosse record for most points in a single season, with 57. Jamie went on to finish the season with 74 points (56g, 18a). On April 23rd, the club made history again, claiming its first ever #1 ranking in the Warrior Division I Top 20 Rankings. In the opening round of the NCLL National Tournament, Rutgers fell to #11 Salisbury, missing out on their opportunity to make a run for the NCLL National Championship. The Men’s Club Lacrosse team finished the 2012 season ranked #3 in the NCLL.

In the fall, the club will practice and play in exhibition games that do not count toward their spring season and official record. During the spring semester, the team will practice and compete in games & tournaments in an attempt to seek a playoff birth, and make a run for the national championship.
